I moved to the area almost four years ago and didn't discover Heaths until about 6 months ago. I wish I had found them sooner! Honest, efficient mechanics who do amazing work at affordable prices and don't gouge you like some mechanics do. Most importantly, they get the job done in a timely manner and without hiccups. The mechanic I was using previously would takes 3 days to perform an oil change and would somehow screw something on the car up during the process. It was a nightmare. I take my car to Heaths for everything now, and love the service they provide. Highly recommended to anyone in the North Country - I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.
Don't be fooled by the "look" of the shop. These guys are excellent automotive service men and they do not bill you for unnecessary auto parts. I dropped my car off with no brakes whatsoever and not sure what the problem was it was done the next day and it only cost me 116 dollars. For that price they had to replace an entire rear brake line, the fittings, a bleeder and bleed all of my brake lines. They could have told me I need a new master cylinder, etc. and how would I have known the difference. Great shop, very courteous, took my card over the phone for payment. I highly recommend that you have them service your car if you are in or near Saranac Lake. Good, honest, trustworthy shops that are reasonable with charges are nearly impossible to find. This is a good shop.
