Very good need to wash their windows
After paying, later I asked where are the guests. 3 cars in front of rooms.
The chain hotel was booked. So was the place across the street. My son and I elected to pull in. There were interior shots of the units and a black phone to call the owner who resides next door.
Friendly clean .enjoyed the stay
The room met our needs with two beds, parking, wifi and a clean bathroom. I asked about the area across the street as I saw kayaks. Steven owns a rental house across the street and offered me a kayak. He drove me over and suggested the best place to get in! I was on the lake watching the sunset. There were Adirondack chairs to sit on and a dock too. I found him attentive and friendly.
He suggested a breakfast place too. We will be back in the area and I'll return. I like parking in front of my unit. Reminds me of trips my family too in the 60s. 70s. This place was built in 1959. I don't need chains. I also saved about $55. To each their own. Best Western did not have a kayak to give me
Should have stayed in town further or Best Western. Left at 1:00 a.m. and drove thru those mountains for 4 hours back to Syracuse. Losing their phone number for sure.Nice guy, but bad attitude.

Left at 1:00 a.m. on 6/11/16. The heat was terrible, hot water,. The room was nicely done, however. But The owner kept giving me run around on check in with the heat. We are retired. After checking in he said he would get heat going after dinner. What a jerk.
Steve says, Oh ! There all mine. That was suspicious. After dinner came back and we had heat, baseboard. He bitched because he has to put on a series heat travel of all the rooms to get heat to us.So, we need heat. He reluctantly turned on heat 38o last night. I was livid but considered okay. Going to bed was getting cooler in room. I turned up thermostat to 75 and it read 68o and dropping by 12:30 a.m. No guests at all except us. We were alone in this motel. He lived next door, no heat, no paying customers. So we suffer..........
